In Memoriam Fernanda

Our dear mare Fernanda passed away late afternoon August 8, 2020 at her favorite shady spot in her paddock at our farm. She was bred in Argentina and came to the U.S. at age four ready to play polo on arrival.

Her gentle nature and calm demeanor belied the competitiveness and athleticism she consistently delivered over her long playing career. Both my wife, Jennifer, and I approached every match with total confidence when aboard this amazing creature.

Her last sanctioned event was in 2019 but we continued to ride her for pleasure and stick and ball until her unexpected passing. Fernanda has departed from this world but the memory of her talent and sweetness will remain with us forever.
